Narragansett Technologies announce completion of First Round funding and appointment of Chief Technology Officer.
Narragansett announced today the completion of EUR2.25m First Round funding in a private placement with backing by ABN AMRO. “We are very pleased to have achieved the key milestones we set out last October” said Christopher J Byrne, co-founder, “This enables us to ramp-up our R&D efforts in Ireland and expand the Business development teams in UK and North America”.
Narragansett also announced the appointment of Richard Coady as Chief Technology Officer. Richard recently worked with B2B software maker Clarus (NASDAQ:CLRS) and ERP vendor Infinium. Richard has extensive Microsoft Technology and Enterprise application domain expertise and was one of the first to pioneer Web service applications in conjunction with Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT).
“I consider .NET to be best-in-class for Enterprise development and deployment” said Richard Coady today. “Microsoft is executing on the Web services vision with .NET as the platform of choice for the rapid development of agile, scalable and robust Enterprise applications.”
